Our DEHN railway earthing system has proven itself in transport engineering, as it has been specifically developed for earthing the concrete parts in the vicinity of high-voltage electrical installations. It serves to provide equipotential bonding for concrete structures and to carry the short-circuit current in the event of a break in the contact wire.
For this purpose, DEHN gives users a range of earthing bridges and earthing connectors, which, with the variety of end caps and connection elements, form a comprehensive modular system with various combination options. Our DEHN railway earthing systems are approved by DB InfraGO AG.

Due to their high current-carrying capacity, these products are also suitable for use in transformer stations, substations, battery storage systems, electrolysers, etc.

Objects in the area where the overhead contact line breaks that do not have sufficient short-circuit current carrying capacity put people and installations at risk. These conductive bodies, e.g., metal boundaries or fences, must be equipped with an additional, sufficiently dimensioned conductors. This is done using a short-circuit wire. It is installed on fences or boundaries and triggers a defined short-circuit in the event of a broken overhead contact line. Short-circuit wires are also used in tunnel building and for noise barriers. The necessary installation accessories, like the press connector and conductor holder, round off the full package.
