The earth-termination system is the basis for safe and future-proof electrical installation. All new buildings in Germany must therefore be equipped with an earthing system in accordance with the national standard DIN 18014. Photovoltaics, heat pumps or, for instance, the infrastructure for electric mobility have an impact on the planning of new buildings as well as on refurbishments and retrofits. Consequently, protection concepts must stay abreast of the times.
The DEHN earthing kit with earth rods enables simple, standard-compliant, and future-proof protection of residential buildings with a floor area of up to 120 m2 while offering additional advantages.
DEHN - Earthing kit compliant with normative specifications
The basic earthing kit contains all components for a future-proof earthing system as per DIN 18014:2023-06 and is suitable for all commonplace ground plans. It is ideal for use in residential buildings without basements because earth rods do not require excavation. Systems such as the main power supply system (230/400 V), information and communication technologies, or charging equipment for electric vehicles, battery storage and heat pumps can thus be connected with low impedance.
By using two earthing kits, it is also possible to create the basis for a combined equipotential bonding system. This can then be used for a complete external lightning protection system of LPS class III up to a building circumference of 60 metres. Just the thing when equipotential bonding in conformance with EMC regulations is required. With a combined equipotential bonding system, future changes to the electrical installation are also possible.
The earthing kit contains earth rods for the execution of 2 x 5 or 4 x 3 metres for use in different types of soil. A glance at the footprint will tell you how many earthing kits are required. Precisely matched to the project. In addition, all the necessary components come in a set of four easy-to-handle packages (<25 kg, max. 2 m long), including installation instructions and a form for the documentation and test report. The compact packages save storage space and are easy to transport in a work van.
